Wash It
The first step to getting your car ready for spring is to give it a good wash. Get rid of all the dirt, grime, and salt that’s been building up over the winter months. Pay special attention to the wheels – they can get pretty dirty! Once you’ve washed the outside of your car, move onto the inside. Vacuum all the floors and seats, and wipe down all the surfaces. Don’t forget about those hard-to-reach places! A lint roller can be helpful for getting rid of pet hair or other debris that’s stuck in tight spaces.
Detailing
Once your car is clean on the inside and out, you might want to consider taking it for a professional detailing. This will make your car look shiny and new! If you don’t have time (or money) for a professional detail, there are still plenty of ways to spruce up your car on your own. You can polish the paint, wax the exterior, and even shampoo the carpets and seats. A little elbow grease goes a long way!
Finish Up
Once you’ve given your car a good cleaning, there are a few final touch-ups you can do to really make it shine. Replace any burned-out lightbulbs, fill up any empty fluid levels, and check the tire pressure. These small steps will help keep your car running smoothly all spring (and summer) long!
